Circles were a foundational process in aboriginal and native traditions dating back to the Earth’s earliest history. Because we see Circle as a tremendous gift supporting our work with communities, we like to acknowledge the origins of this practice and some of our teachers and mentors any time we are sharing about Circle: First of all is Kay Pranis who was trained & mentored by Barry Stuart, former Chief Justice of the Yukon Territorial Courts (non-native white judge). Kay was also trained by Mark Wedge of the Deicitaan Clan of the Tagish/T’lingit Nation.
